MULTAN: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has decided to move a complain against Mian Channu SHO for registering fake case against its official, instead of taking action against the corrupt during a crackdown on illegal cable operators.
According to PEMRA release issued here, Malik Zahid Hassan, field inspector, sought police assistance from SHO City Gul Muhammad during a drive against illegal cable operators, under Section 33 (A) of Pemra ordinance 2002.
The SHO, instead of extending cooperation, registered fake case against the Pemra official. The police officer made undue interference in state affairs, said the release.
Pemra Multan decided to move to Council of Complaint (CoC), headed by Justice Retd Farrukh Mehmood.
