ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Standing Committee for Interior Senator Rehman Malik on Thursday said security hazards had visibly diminished due to the effective role of intelligence agencies. He said financial affairs affect the effectiveness of Nacta.
Talking to The News, Rehman Malik said that Narendra Modi should be prosecuted in the International Court of Justice for his confessional statement of interference of RAW in Pakistan’s internal affairs.
“If the government supports it, I am ready to put Modi on trial at the international forum and will prove that India is embroiled in terrorism through RAW in Pakistan and is creating unrest in Karachi and Balochistan,” Malik averred, adding that he had enough evidence to prove that RAW was involved in the Samjhota Express episode.
He said that India was trying to maliciously involve the ISI in the Gurdaspur incident. Malik said some people had tried to create confusion between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the military leadership to achieve their political ends.
“Key leaders of different political parties are contacting me to join the PPP, while those who have left the PPP are trying to come back to the party as they know that our party is one of the largest parties of the country,” Malik claimed.
He said that the trend of double standards should be eliminated from politics, adding, politicians should show maturity in political affairs and should join hands for the solidarity and advancement of the country. He asked the Afghan government to hand over Mullah Fazlullah involved in the Peshawar school massacre and other acts of terrorism in Pakistan.
