KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman Pakistan People’s Party presided over a meeting to discuss upcoming local bodies elections in Sindh and prepare a revolutionary PPP’s manifesto for the welfare and betterment of the people at the Bilawal House on Saturday.
The meeting was attended among others by Senator Sherry Rehman, Local Government and Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Najmi Alam, Waqar Mehdi, Lal Bux Bhutto, Raja Abdul Razaq, Qasim Baloch, Mirza Maqbool, Saeed Chawla, Zafar Siddiqui, Nadeem Bhutto, Jameel Soomro and Surendar Valasai.
The meeting took stock of the issues pertaining to the performance of local bodies and party policy to provide the civic amenities to the people to grass-root levels. Party has very strong and committed cadres to serve as elected representatives of local bodies after the elections to implement the party’s manifesto for lower tiers of elected democracies.
Party leaders attending the meeting gave different suggestions to gain maximum support from the people in the elections.
Bilawal Bhutto exhorted the party leaders from Karachi including the district presidents of the party to go door-to-door and take all the party workers onboard for the local bodies’ election campaign.
