ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said the PTI’s letter to the Judicial Commission was a confession of Imran Khan’s defeat.
In a statement, he said the PTI had failed to produce evidence, documents and witnesses in the commission and now it had started writing new letters.During the course of regular proceedings of the commission, the PTI never asked to summon the ROs as witnesses, he added.
He said under the new demand, the call to summon the ROs was in fact a new U-turn by the “king of U-turns”.When the inquiry commission was about to reach a conclusion, the new demand of the PTI is meant to plunge the politics of Pakistan into a turmoil so that targets of national progress could not be achieved, he added.
Rashid said Imran had failed to prove his allegations from the day one and was unable to respond to the questionnaire of the Judicial Commission.Imran was supposed to tell the commission who was the architect of rigging, what was the design and who executed it along with evidence but he failed to do so, he added.
He said the gathering at the D chowk started decreasing from the very first day as its message was limited only to TV screens. Lack of popular support for the D Chowk politics baffled Imran, said the minister.
Rashid said that Imran Khan should apologise for his false allegations and stop creating hurdles in elimination of terrorism and implementation of the national agenda of progress and prosperity.
