Terrorists to be denied space across Pak-Afghan border

COAS, Afghan general agree on enhancing regional stability

RAWALPINDI: The Director General of ISPR, Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, on Friday tweeted quoting Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif as saying that Pakistan and Afghanistan will continue targeting terrorists on the their respective sides of the border, ensuring total denial of space to terror elements.
General Raheel Sharif expressed these views during his meeting with the Afghan National Army’s Chief of General Staff General Sher Mohammad Karimi, who called on him at the General Headquarters here on Friday, the ISPR press release said.
During the meeting, the matters related to peace and stability in the region, especially in Afghanistan, Pak-Afghan border management and measures to further enhance defence and training cooperation between both the armies were discussed.
Earlier, on arrival at the General Headquarters, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honour to the dignitary. General Sher Mohammad Karimi also laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha.It may be mentioned here that General Sher Mohammad Karimi will be the chief guest at the passing-out parade at the PMA Kakul and will address the parade today (Saturday).
