MANSEHRA: The District Bar Association, Mansehra, has written a letter to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council to release an amount of Rs100, 000 in advance to its members from the Benevolent Fund.
“Like other segments of the society, the legal fraternity has also been financially affected due to Covid-19 lockdown and KP Bar Council should release Rs100, 000 to its each member from the Benevolent Fund,” Amir Khan Swati, the president of District Bar Association, told reporters.
Flanked by bars general secretary Fahad Habib Tanoli, he said that suggestions about financial relief in ongoing Covid-19 emergency were proposed by a senior lawyer and ex -member KP Bar Council, Hafiz Muhammad Naseem. “The members overwhelmingly supported the suggestion and I have taken up the issue with the KP Bar Council seeking an immediate release of Rs100, 000 for each member so that they could manage day-to-day financial affairs,” said Swati.
