KHAR: The Bajaur district on Tuesday reported two more positive cases of coronavirus, raising the number of confirmed Covid-19 infections to six in the area.
Confirming the two Covid-19 cases, Dr Naseeb Gul, the deputy medical superintendent of District Headquarters Hospital, Khar, said that Rehimullah of Inayat Killay and Alamzeb of Phattak area had contracted the viral disease.
Soon after the cases of coronavirus reported in the district, Assistant Commissioner, Khar, Fazal Rahim, on the directives of Bajaur Deputy Commissioner Usman Mehsud, along with a heavy contingent of police rushed to Inayat Killay and Phattak area and declared the houses of the two coronavirus-infected patients as quarantines to contain the spread of the fast-travelling virus in the area.
According to official data, there were six coronavirus infected patients in the district and two of them had recovered and subsequently discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, the General Petroleum (GP) distributed food items and other essentials among the poor and needy people hailing from Garoi, Gandao, Marosa, Mullah Killay, Speen Ragay and other areas. The people thanked the GP for extending help in the prevailing lockdown that had badly affected the routine life and businesses in the area and all over the world as well.
