LAKKI MARWAT: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former tehsil naib nazim Dr Sarfaraz Khan called upon the government to evolve unity by taking politicians and religious leaders into confidence over the coronavirus pandemic.
Talking to The News here on Sunday, he said that the international community was passing through a critical juncture but we should not lose hope. The district administration should not humiliate and insult the people coming out of their homes for necessary piece of work, he said, adding, they should be fined instead. He said that those people who were holding Sehat Insaf Cards should willingly go for Coronavirus test as such segment could avail the opportunity of getting free test. “We hereby offer the services to the government by giving the old building of our Shifa Hospital in old Ghallamandi to be utilised as an Isolation Ward.
It has vast space, rooms, electricity, water and security and feasible for keeping Corona patients therein,” the PPP leader said. He urged the people of Lakki Marwat district to stay homes to avoid infection and spread of the Corona in the area. He also asked those coming from other parts of the country to undergo test before entering their homes just in the larger interest of their families.
