Islamabad: The district administration of Islamabad has allowed shops or vendors offering digital payment services the brief operation every day. On March 24, suspension of activities was ordered for all shops except grocery stores and pharmacies in light of the lockdown imposed to check the spread of coronavirus.
However, the administration has partially relaxed the restriction for the dealers of U-Paisa, Jazz Cash and other online payment services. According to a notification issued by the ICT district magistrate, keeping in view the difficulties faced by the people in sending and receiving remittances, all online payment services will remain open for three days from 12 p.m to 4pm in the capital territory with an immediate effect. All such shops will ensure that the measures required to ensure social distancing by the people are strictly adhered to. Restrictions for other businesses will continue.
