Heirs of martyred Khassadars get relief cheques
JAMRUD: The district administration of Khyber tribal district distributed cheques worth Rs4.7 million among the children of the martyred Khassadars in the aftermath of the coronavirus outbreak.
Deputy Commissioner Mahmood Aslam Wazir distributed the cheques among the children of the martyred Khassadars. Addressing the gathering, the official said that the district administration had set up quarantine centres which could accommodate 1,300 people.
He added that the district administration had enough money to cater to the needs of the local population during the lockdown as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The official said that the Home Department had given them the data of 940 persons with travel history, adding that about 90 percent of them had been traced. The deputy commissioner said that hospitals in the district had two ventilators and more of these would be made available by the provincial government.
