Firdous asks Shahbaz to bring money back
ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said Tuesday that Shahbaz Sharif should have announced that the Sharif family was bringing back its capital to Pakistan at this hour of crisis. In tweets, she said that the Sharif family had earned all from Pakistan and then shifted it abroad and it would have been great had Shahbaz announced some amount from their massive wealth from the people of Pakistan. “Shahbaz Sahab! None differs from the need of national solidarity and unity but instead of giving lengthy lectures, he must have realised his responsibility if helping out people of Pakistan at the present times,” she maintained. In another tweet, she said the media had a pivotal role in creating awareness among the people about the coronavirus pandemic. She said the media workers and journalists were playing the role of vanguard in the fight against coronavirus and added the government gave priority to their welfare. Dr Firdous urged the media owners to ensure safety and security of the media persons during the discharge of their professional duties.
