March 23 was Pakistan Day. After 80 years of this historic day, the country is facing an outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. With very limited resources, our government and the world community are trying their best to minimize the corona spread. China has led the world by example, by controlling the pandemic, and ensuring the safety of its people. Italy and Iran are facing the deadly blow of this disease with the number of casualties increasing rapidly. With no proper guidance, testing facility and remedial treatment, the pandemic has become life-threatening. Luckily, the opposition has shown stature by supporting the government. All parties must join hands. Self-distancing and sanitization is the be all and end all of the campaign again the coronavirus. We must exercise extreme vigilance and restrict ourselves to homes, try not to mingle with friends and relatives for some time, avoid large gatherings and crowded places, be neat and clean and pray for an end to this pandemic. It is hoped that united we can easily defeat this virus. This must be our motto for Pakistan Day and onwards.
