ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has demanded verified copies of degrees of 40 of its senior officers.

 

On the direction of FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa, a circular has been sent to tax field formations through which it has been directed to send verified copies of the degrees of 40 senior officers. Those whose degrees were found fake would be dismissed from their official posts. The verified copies of both male and female officers who have been appointed in Karachi, Multan, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar have been demanded.

 

Those whose degrees have been asked for include the additional collector, deputy collector commercial secretary, project director, assistant collector, secretary FBR, deputy director and others.

 

The names and orders of appointment of these 40 officers are Mrs Misbah Khatana Aamir, Junaid Ahmad Memon, Basit Maqsood Abassi, Saadia Munib, Syed Ali Abbas Gardaizi, Bailum Ramzan, Malik Umar Mumtaz Khan, Agha Saeed Ahmad Pathan, Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry, Shenaz Mehqool, Raja Tahir Majeed, Nadeem Ahsan, Muhammad Tahir, Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Junaid Jalil, Muhammad Javed Ghani, Moona Aslam, Kh Khurram Naeem, Jamil Ahmad Baloch, Abdul Rehman Yousaf, Syed Shakil Shah, Syed Hamid Ali, Ayed Assad Raza Rizvi, Samiul Haq, Samina Tasleem Zehra, Norin Sana, Mukaram Jan Ansari, Muhammad Daud Pirzada, Muhammad Ali Raza Hanjra, Moinud Din Ahmad Wani, Mehnaz Bhaur, Nadeem Chaman, Khlil Ahmad Yousafzai, Hassan Saqib Sheikh, Dr Tahir Qureshi and Aysha Bashir Wani.
