The delegation comprised 40 Indian delegates among the highest achievers in South Asia, a majority of whom arrived through the Wagah border while others flew into the Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Talking to the media at the border, the delegates expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome. “We are thrilled by the warm welcome and the great ambience of friendship and love that we have felt on our arrival and are looking forward to a wonderful experience at the summit.” said a delegate.

The delegates also saw the revised Indo-Pak visa regime as a major step forward in enabling better understanding and a more fluid interaction between Indians and Pakistanis. They commended the ‘Aman Ki Asha’ Project and termed it a revolution that had brought about visa reforms, adding that this was just one of the many milestones this platform was going to achieve in the future.

The delegates said that the summit would be a rare opportunity to listen to and learn from counterparts in Pakistan. ‘We’re looking forward to great food, great music, and great conversations with great colleagues,” they added.
