ISLAMABAD: The Implementation Tribunal for Newspaper Employees (ITNE) issued bailable arrest warrants for the owners of IPL (defunct daily The Muslim)—Mirza Hassan Pooya, and Mirza Ahmad Pooya sons of Agha Murtaza Pooya— and Chief Executive Ghazanfar Ali Rizvi for not appearing before the Tribunal in execution proceedings of its decision on payment of dues to 58 IPL’s sacked employees.

The Tribunal issued notice to the respondents for appearing before the tribunal on July 27, 2012, but nobody appeared before the tribunal. On this, the tribunal issued bailable arrest warrants, which could not be served. The tribunal reissued the notice and warrants of arrest. The case is adjourned till September 3, 2012.
