ISLAMABAD: Declaring that his party had complete faith in Pakistan’s security forces and their ability to protect the people of the country, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on Minhas Airbase in Kamra and reiterated that incidents like this were bound to occur when countries jumped into the war of others.
“PTI believes that perpetrators of terror who aim to destroy our national assets and demoralise the nation will not succeed,” the PTI chairman said, expressing deep sorrow for the bereaved family of the martyred soldier and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. “Our commandos’ vigilant and prompt operation deterred the terrorists from destroying our prized national assets.”
Imran said his party would work hard in all adverse conditions to bring peace in the country. He reiterated that once in power, the PTI would quit the US war and ensure that every asset and citizen of Pakistan was protected. PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Secretary General Dr Arif Alvi and Information Secretary Shafqat Mahmood also condemned the Kamra attack.
