LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has assured Muttahida Qaumi Movement to consider its request for attending the all parties conference.

In a meeting between senior leadership of both the sides, a consensus was developed to continue dialogue process in the interest of the country. The MQM delegation led by Dr Farooq Sattar Tuesday called on PTI leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and others.

Farooq Sattar, talking to the media on the occasion, said continuation of dialogue process is vital in the national interest, as the country is facing serious threats on different fronts. He also said arguments of PPP Senator Raza Rabbani regarding 18th amendments carried weight and it should be implemented completely. Javed Hashmi said political parties should be united on one point agenda of steering the country out of crisis.

APP adds: Dr Farooq Sattar invited PTI Chairman Imran Khan to visit the MQM headquarters Nine Zero. Farooq Sattar said the MQM and the PTI had the same opinion on many issues. He said he was glad to know the MQM had expressed those very concerns that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had been voicing for many years.

Other issues under discussion were the independence of judiciary and defamatory remarks of Faisal Raza Abidi. Qureshi also pointed out recent remarks of Raza Rabbani on the rollback of 18th amendment as an alarming disrespect of constitution by the government.
