ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday asked for the record of the press conference addressed by Senator Faisal Raza Abidi of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in which he called for the resignation of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The chief justice has sought footage of the press conference to see whether it came under contempt of court or not. Abidi addressed a press conference at the National Press Club in Islamabad on Sunday and accused the chief justice of acquitting a terrorist who allegedly killed 100 people. He also said that he would soon table a bill against the judges who had taken oath under the PCO (Provisional Constitution Order).
