LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif has said that the country has reached the brink of destruction and concerted struggle was needed to rid it of corrupt rulers and problems.
Nawaz Sharif was talking to an independent Member of Punjab Assembly Sardar Amjad Farooq Khan Khosa who called on him at his Jati Umra residence in Raiwind on Monday and announced his decision to join the party.
Nawaz said PML-N believed in politics of principles and honesty. He said because of these principles, people from different schools of thought were joining it.
He said the PML-N would not allow the rulers to cause damage to constitution, democracy and judiciary and would stand like a solid rock against such conspiracies. On this occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali khan and others were also present. Political observers are describing the joining of Sardar Amjad Farooq Khan Khosa in the PML-N as an important development as he is a strong opponent of Zulfikar Khosa in Dera Ghazi Khan.
