ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has said that those, who want to come into power through back door, would be frustrated.

He was speaking to an Iftar party, hosted by him in the honour of notables of his constituency, here on Saturday. The prime minister has said that election is PPP’s field, and it is ready to go for polls any time.

He said that the PPP always gained power through public support and holding of free, fair and transparent elections is the top most priority of the Pakistan People’s Party as it gave lot of sacrifices for the democracy.

He said that the government gives complete respect to the opposition and wants to resolve all the matters amicably. “We have to put down the tradition of healthy politics,” he added. He said the PPP has added some 3,000MW to the national grid to solve the energy crises, whereas the past government did not include even a single unit of electricity.
