ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday asked the government to place in the Senate within 24 hours the written agreement with the US on the resumption of Nato supply routes.
On a point of order, PML-N leader Senator Syed Zafar Ali Shah came down hard on the government for another drone attack inside Pakistan’s territory. “The government must share with the House the written agreement it has signed with the US. There was a talk of a verbal agreement earlier and now a written accord. The nation must know what exactly it is all about,” the veteran legislator maintained. He pointed out that nothing had reached even the media about the agreement and added it was the right of parliament to know about it. “Attacks take place on Pakistan’s territory and the government fails to check this gory trend,” he said. No one from the treasury benches spoke on the issue.
