PESHAWAR: No headway has been made in the probe into the two high-profile murders of Pashto singer Ghazala Javed and leader of an anti-militant Amn Lashkar Fahimur Rahman.

Ghazala Javed was killed on June 18 along with her father Javed in Dabgari area in the provincial capital. Fahim was killed along with his three associates on June 28 and their bodies were recovered from the Dilazak Road.

Though the family of Ghazala Javed had nominated her ex-spouse Jehangir Khan and two others in the double murder case, the police are probing the case from other angles too. However, none of the three accused or other suspects has been apprehended. The TTP and the Mangal Bagh-led Lashkar-e-Islam had both claimed responsibility for Fahimur Rahman’s murder.
