QUETTA: Unidentified men blew up a gas pipeline in the Western Bypass area of the provincial capital on Saturday night. Police said unknown men attached an explosive device with the gas pipeline passing through the Western Bypass area near PS Airport and blew it up. As a result of the explosion, over one foot portion of the pipeline was damaged. Law enforcement personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to search for the suspects. Teams of engineers and technical staff of the Sui Southern Gas Company also reached the site to repair the damaged portion of the pipeline. The explosion caused suspension of gas supply to Killi Khezi and Khuclak areas.
