KALAYA: Fourteen militants were killed when jetfighters shelled their hideouts in upper Orakzai Agency, official sources said on Sunday. Sources said that jetfighters pounded the hideouts of militants in Dabori bazaar, Zakhtun, Gandi Thall and Kago Kamar. Fourteen militants were killed and four hideouts destroyed during the shelling in these areas, official sources claimed. Sources said that a senior commander of the Gul Zaman group of militants identified as Sajid alias Abu Osama was injured in the shelling.However, the spokesman for the TTP, Orakzai Agency chapter Hafiz Saeed rejected the claims about militants’ casualties. Official sources also said security forces recovered a huge cache of weapons during a search operation launched in the Arhang, Essa Khan Killay and Gall areas.
