However, the chief minister asked Danish Saeed to continue to work in the same capacity till further order. Afterwards, provincial minister Muzaffar Shajra along with his guards and staff came to the office of the DG PDMA and forced Danish Saeed to relinquish his charge at gunpoint. When Muzaffar Shajra was tried to be contacted on phone, he did not attend the call. Danish Saeed while confirming the incident refused to comment over the issue.

According to the information available with The News, after repeated warnings of flood from the federal government and Pakistan Meteorological Department, the Sindh government declared seven districts sensitive with regard to the flood and provided PDMA with the fund of Rs720 million.

Meanwhile, a senior bureaucrat Hashim Raza Zaidi was appointed against the vacant post of the PDMA secretary. But the payments of Rs7.5 million became a bone of contention among the claimants of power sharing in the province. Meanwhile, DG PDMA was transferred for non-compliance of various orders regarding different payments. However, Danish Saeed was asked to officiate the PDMA in the same capacity vide letter no. DGPDMA-1306/2012 as flood emergency had been declared in the province.

However, he was forced to quit the job in a humiliating way when members of an Iranian delegation were still there after a meeting with him. The members of the delegation from Iran, which had provided Rs120 million assistance last year, were surprised at the situation. Perturbed over the situation, DG PDMA left his office after relinquishing the charge.
