NEW DELHI: Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani arrived here along with a delegation to hold two-day talks with his Indian counterpart Ranjan Mathai from July 4-5.
Talking to the media at the IGI airport at Delhi soon after his arrival, Pakistani Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani said, “I have brought a message of goodwill, peace and prosperity from the people of Pakistan and the government of Pakistan to the people of India and the leadership of India.
“I have brought good wishes and I am looking forward to my very constructive dialogue with my counterpart Ranjan Mathai,” said Jalil Abbas Jilani. He said, “I have been mandated by the leadership to move this peace process forward”.
Jilani was received at the airport by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to New Delhi Salman Bashir, officers of the High Commission and Joint Secretary (PAI) in the ministry of external affairs of government of India YK Sinha. Foreign Office of Pakistan has announced that it would be holding the two-day foreign secretary level talks on “peace and security” including CBMs, Jammu and Kashmir and friendly exchanges in New Delhi.
