PARACHINAR: Political Agent Kurram Agency Shahab Ali Shah Thursday said the government was in contact with the Australian Foreign Ministry about the boat capsizing incident near the Christmas Island.

 

Talking to reporters, he said Governor Masood Kausar had directed the political administration to facilitate the affected families in contacting the Pakistan’s High Commission in Australia. The official said he could not provide official data of the victims of the incidents but added that according to family and local sources around 143 tribal youth were aboard the ship. He said the families would be informed after gathering credible information from the Australian High Commission in Islamabad.
