MURREE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that the current government was worse than the Musharraf regime as it had failed to prove its strength and capability on multiple occasions and had instead ruined all institutions, including democracy.
Addressing media persons at the hill resort of Murree, the PML-N chief accused the Pakistan People’s Party-led government of being impassive and said the current rulers were incapable of running the country and were ready to flee the country. “The government has done nothing worthy of appreciation. Severe power crises and have made the lives of the masses miserable, and the industrial sector has been destroyed,” he fired, adding, “The government has not only failed in every sector, but also destroyed the nation’s sovereignty.”
The former prime minister also praised Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry for having taken suo motu notice against his own son, and said that the step taken by the chief judge should be appreciated.
