ISLAMABAD: Raja Pervaiz Ashraf Saturday visited the residence of PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and thanked him and his party for their support in his election as prime minister and leader of the house in the National Assembly.

 

The prime minister, on his first working day, managed to visit the residence of Shujaat to attend a luncheon arranged by the PML-Q, president.

 

He also held a meeting with the leaders of the PML-Q.

 

Shujaat and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the Senior Minister received the prime minister on arrival at their residence.

 

Federal Ministers Khursheed Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Naveed Qamar, Mian Manzoor Wattoo and Nazar Muhammad Gondal accompanied him.

 

Shujaat and other PML-Q leaders assured the prime minister of their full support and cooperation for supremacy of law, constitution and strengthening the democratic process in the country.

 

Later talking to the newsmen Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said the government with the help of its allies would ensure the resolution of all the problems especially the energy crisis which is at top of the agenda. Raja said that the office of the premiership is not an easy task, adding, “We would have to work together for strengthening democratic institutions.”

 

Ch brothers assured the prime minister for full support and cooperation for supremacy of law, constitution and strengthening the democratic process in the country in future and also reminded the PM, his pledges made with Q-League.

 

Responding to the Q-League leadership, the PM assured that he would fulfill all of his promises.

 

Talking to media, Ch Pervez Elahi said, the PMLQ leadership advised PM to focus on to reduce energy crises.
