ISLAMABAD: Senior lawyer Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan on Thursday declined to represent real estate tycoon Malik Riaz Hussain in the contempt of court case being heard in the Supreme Court.
Talking to reporters, he said: “Malik Riaz has requested me to represent him before the court in the contempt of court case, but I have refused”.When asked reasons for his refusal, he declined to explain. To a question, Aitzaz Ahsan ruled out a presidential reference against Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry over the alleged business deal between Dr Arsalan Iftikhar and Malik Riaz.
