DERA GHAZI KHAN: Magistrate Jahanzeb Amanullah Hafeez remanded three accused of the Fort Munro gang-rape case in the custody of the Border Military Police for four days, while District and Sessions Judge Rana Muhammad Yousaf ordered to shift the five victims to Daraul Aman.

Earlier, the BMP officials had produced Muhammad Zafar, Amjad Ali and Naveed Ahmed in court and demanded their 14-day remand. The accused will be produced on June 15.

In an application regarding handing over the victims to their families, District and Sessions Judge Rana Muhammad Yousaf ordered the BMP commandant to verify the relation of the victims to the applicants, adjourning the case till Tuesday (today). The applications were filed by the families of the victims through Sardar Behram Khan Buzdar, seeking the custody of the victims. The applications showed that the rape victims had provided factious names with wrong identity to the Border Military Police while filing an application for registration of a case.

Two sisters had introduced themselves as Shama and Guria with their father name as Malik Maqsood while the actual name of their father is Abdul Rauf. Similarly, the real name of Aalia is Sehrish Gilani and she is the daughter of Shabbir Shah. Another victim, Perveen had disclosed her identity as Saima with the father name as Bashir Shah while she is the wife of Qamar Hussain. The real name of another victim Sanam is Aqsa.

Agencies add: Lawyer of the rape victims had the stance that the police made an attempt to save their colleagues by accusing them under inappropriate sections in the First Information Report.
