ISLAMABAD: Former foreign minister and chairman task force of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) on International Affairs Mian Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri who is on an important visit to India had an extensive meeting with N K Naraynan, Governor of East Bengal, in Kolkata.

 

According to the report received from the Indian capital Mian Kasuri had discussed with the governor subjects of mutual interest including the disputes and ties between the two countries. N K Naraynan who was National Security Advisor to former Prime Minister India Atal Behari Vajpaiee during the months when Kasuri was Foreign Minister of Pakistan had talks with the then Indian government and Minister for External Affairs of India Jaswant Singh.

 

He used to have interaction with Narayanan during the parleys. Mian Khurshid Kasuri has been invited by the ‘Centre of Peace and Progress’ as special guest to deliver lectures on the regional situation and Pakistan-India relations. He took part in a number of discussions on the topic. Mian Kasuri is likely to stay in India for about a week and he will have some more important meetings before returning home, the sources added.
