ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Saturday said Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was avoiding formation of judicial commission fearing it would expose all of his truth.
In a statement the minister said that the PTI chief was frustrated after the Election Tribunal unfolded the real facts in recounting of votes in NA-122 constituency.
He asked Imran Khan to come out of the mourning of defeat and pay attention to the governance and welfare of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people where his party was in the power.
He said that Imran Khan claimed that there was a massive rigging in the general election 2013 in all constituencies except from where his party had won. He questioned that if Imran Khan was right why the returning officers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa did nothing against PTI letting the party win in the province.
Pervaiz Rashid regretted that the PTI chief was not refraining from levelling baseless allegations even after performing Umrah.
Terming Khan as media tiger the minister said that whenever court summoned Imran Khan he either extended apology or excused for remembering nothing due to loss of memory consequent to a head injury. He said that Imran should respond to the court notice that would make everything crystal clear.
Pervaiz Rashid said that PTI was isolated as its ally Jamaat-e-Islami was not following line of Imran Khan besides his cousin (referring to Dr Tahirul Qadri) had already fled and abandoned him.
He expressed astonishment that Imran was not accepting the incumbent assemblies but had announced to contest the upcoming Senate election.
