Imran’s legal eagles

Soon after the Judicial Commission absolved the government of rigging in the last general elections, Imran Khan surrounded himself with a new team of legal experts – Babar Awan and Irfan Qadir. Babar Awan, a PhD from Monticello, leads the team. The PTI has its own men of law such as Hamid Khan but somehow Imran does not trust them as much as he trusts lawyers from outside his party.
Babar Awan will advise Imran in his own way and so will Irfan Qadir. Qadir, as attorney general in the past, instead of assisting the judiciary for which he was paid, usually sided with the opposite party in court. How I wish Aitzaz Ahsan was also one of the team members. Although Aitzaz Ahsan would not like to be compared with Babar Awan, the latter is shrewder of the two. The only time Babar misfired was when he made some wrong moves during the last PPP’s rule and quickly fell from grace. Let us see how Imran wins his lost battle against the government with the assistance of Babar Awan and Irfan Qadir.
