Need for maturity

This refers to the article, ‘More than a fist hitting the table’ (April 24) by Obed Pasha. It is naïve to think that the Nine-Zero operation was a shock to the government because the civilian and military leadership are on same page vis-à-vis cleansing the country of terrorists and criminals.
Moreover, operations and raids on criminal hideouts or against terrorists/criminals all around the world are kept covert and no announcement in this context is ever made via TV, radio or newspaper. We need to grow up and find better and mature ideas to sell; concocted tales against the military establishment are too outdated. Pakistan is deeply embroiled in serious problems accentuated by the war on terror. Under the circumstances, our law-enforcement agencies have their hands full trying to keep terrorism and crime at bay.
