Recently, I applied for MPhil in a university in Punjab but was disappointed when the university demanded an equivalence certificate. This was despite the fact that I had done my masters with exceptional CGPA from a university of the same province and with the same degree title and duration as that of the university I applied for.
This demand for a HEC recognised degree is beyond my understanding. When I contacted the parent university, it objected to providing me the certificate, describing the demand as irrational and illogical. The HEC is therefore requested to take notice of such policies that contradict the uniform mechanism it devised for the country. This also shows a lack of cooperation and mistrust between universities and highlights tacit non-recognition of each other.
