Spring festival

Spring Festival 2019 began at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) here on Monday with the theme of “Peace and Harmony”.
On the first day, competitions of Naat, Qiraat, Azaan and documentary were arranged. In Qiraat competition male category, Hafiz Shakir got first position, Hafiz Rauf got second position and Hafiz Furqan got third position while in female category Mariam Naeem got first position, Hajra Awais got second position and Fatima Ashfaq and Mehwish Imtiaz both stood on third position.
In Naat competition male category, Mohsin Maqsood got first position, Arslan Ghazanfer got second and Muhammad Salman got third position while in female category Maria Rasool got first position, Saira Aziz got second position and Sidra Qurban stood on third position. In Azaan competition, Hafiz Abdullah got first position, Khurram got second while Hafiz Tahir (IBBT) got third position. Renowned Naat Khawan Asif Sarhadi and Qari Aziz-ur-Rehman were the chief guests on the occasion and gave away shields to the winners while UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and UVAS Senior Tutor Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf were also present.
