Elections in Karachi’s constituency NA-254, from where ANP’s Sadiq Zaman Khattak was contesting, have been postponed after Khattak and his son were killed. The attackers sprayed the father and son with bullets outside a mosque in Karachi’s Bilal Colony.
Elections are just a few days away. With increasing attacks on the election offices of political parties, there are fears that the ECP might have to postpone elections in many other constituencies as well. The law and order situation has worsened and no one is able to control the destructive spiral of violence. I suggest the ‘authorities’ accept their helplessness and then we’ll take it from there.
