Many are terming the attack on the PAF base at Kamra an intelligence failure. It cannot be called an intelligence failure because it was due to the timely intelligence that the security forces at the base were on high alert. The security apparatus acted promptly and effectively and managed to curtail the damage.

Secondly, in low-intensity conflicts, it is a fact that terrorist will always enjoy the element of surprise and initiative at the point of attack. The only viable option to deal with such contingencies is timely and effective response against terrorists.
