The Supreme Court Bar Association President Yasin Azad has voiced the sentiment of the overwhelming majority of Pakistanis when he appealed to the government and the judiciary to take a middle path to uphold the dignity of the judiciary as well as that of parliament. Clearly, packing away another prime minister is not going to solve the problem as it will also not achieve the result desired by the court. President Zardari will get another prime minister elected.

Among the possible measures, one can be the formation of a commission by the Supreme Court to write a letter to the Swiss authorities. The Supreme Court has a difficult task to deliver. It will serve the interest of this country and save it from internal disquiet and international ridicule if it finds a middle path.
