Fissures have begun to appear even within PPP on the question of leaders and parliamentarians possessing dual nationalities. We expect our parliamentarians to give primacy to the interests of Pakistan. Ignoring our sensibilities and the trust we put in it, parliament is all set to pass the dual nationality bill. It’s a shame that we don’t mind being ruled by dual nationals. It will surely be very difficult to explain to future generations why we sought independence from colonial rule at all?
