In his show of June 14, Kamran Khan proposed broad-based accountability of all journalists, politicians, bureaucrats, lawyers and the military by an inquiry commission, formed by the government, to investigate the legal or illegal assets, inside and outside Pakistan, of all the above-mentioned persons. What Khan suggested is actually the need of the hour and a step crucial for the survival of Pakistan.
But my basic worry is that, if formed, any such commission will lose its utility and credibility if it’s constituted by the government which has no credibility of its own.
