KARACHI: Pakistan Women defeated Bangladesh Women by six wickets in the second One-day International here on Tuesday at the Southend Club.
Anam Amin took 4-7 and Asmavia Iqbal captured 3-28 to leave Bangladesh reeling before Nigar Sultana (30) and Ritu Moni (28) rescued the tourists and helped them set a modest target.
Sultana and Moni put on 47 for the eighth wicket.
Sania Khan was the other wicket-taker, while Sana Mir and Rabiya Shah combined to run out Nahida Akhter for one.
Only three Bangladesh players reached double figures as they were at one stage, struggling to reach even 100.
In reply, Bismah Maroof continued her outstanding form by scoring 41 and Marina Iqbal made 31 as Pakistan raced to their target in 38.3 overs.
Nahida struck to remove Javeria Khan for seven before Asmavia and Maroof put on 43 for the second wicket.
After Asmavia was run out, Maroof was ably supported by Nain Abidi (22) as she took Pakistan to the brink of victory and although both were dismissed, Pakistan still achieved the target with ease. Captain Sana Mir was unbeaten on 22 with Aliya Riaz was not out on seven.
