Eunuches thrash dacoit, hand him over to police

Not the police, eunuches captured one of the dacoits, snatched his gun and handed him over to the area police after beating him badly. The incident occurred in Azizabad falling in the jurisdiction of Race Course Police Station when two gunmen entered the ‘Dera’ (house) of eunuches and held them at gunpoint, police said adding that the bandits collected cash of Rs50,000 and 12 tolas of gold ornaments but as they moved to go out of the house, one of the eunuches overpowered a gunman with the help of others and started beating him after snatching his gun. The other dacoit, watching the condition of his aide, ran away with cash and gold ornaments.

The Civil Line Police, behaved with a policeman — who’s bike was stolen from Police Line some six days back — as civilian and registered FIR on his repeated request after six days of the occurrence. Bike bearing registration number RIN-4722 of constable Matiullah was stolen from barrack No.2 in Police Lines, Rawalpindi, by unknown thief leaving a message or challenge for police who failed to catch the daring bikejacker.

Free medical camp for women

A free medical camp for the treatment of women’s diseases will be held today (Sunday), at 73-C, Panorama Centre, near Cricket Stadium, Double Road, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., says a press release. A board of gynaecologists headed by Dr. Samira Saeed comprised Dr. Kalsoom Khizar, Dr. Asma and Dr. Salma will examine the patients of infertility, skin diseases and hepatitis C and B. The patients will also be given free medicines at the camp.

Housemaid raped by housemaster

Rawalpindi: A housemaster allegedly raped his housemaid in government flats in T&T Colony on Saturday, police said. Azra Bibi, 30, lodged a complaint with the RA Bazaar Police Station, alleging that Malik Tahir pushed her in a room of the house and raped her forcibly. The police have taken up the case and started investigation. In another incident, a five-year-old girl was kidnapped from Dhoke Hassu. The police have registered a case against one Qaisar Shahzad, nominated by the abducted girl’s father.

BB, Mumbai cases adjourned

Rawalpindi: Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) No-I, Rawalpindi, on Saturday adjourned the hearing of BB murder case and Mumbai attack case till April 3, 2012. The court adjourned the hearing of both cases without any further proceedings because ATC No-1 Judge, Shahid Rafique, was on leave.
