Many are accusing the chief justice of being a neglectful father. It is a known fact that the Quaid-e-Azam was not an ideal husband and father; some would even say he was far from it. So, will we be justified in disparaging his achievements and sacrifices for Pakistan on the basis of his role as a husband and father? Whether or not Arsalan Iftikhar received bribes from Malik Riaz is being investigated.
But we should refrain from casting aspersions on the chief justice’s person and integrity on the basis of what his son did. It is my humble request to the people of Pakistan to be wary of the ongoing conspiracy that is not just against the judiciary but also against the impoverished people of Pakistan.
