Islamabad: Federal Minister for National Heritage and Integration Ms Samina Khalid Ghurki has condoled the death of ‘King of Ghazal’ Mehdi Hassan, says a press release.
In her condolence message to Asif Mehdi, son of ‘King of Ghazal,’ she said that she was deeply shocked over the sad demise of Mehdi Hassan and expressed her deep sorrow over this irrevocable loss and vacuum occurred due to his death.
“Mehdi Hassan was a legend. His death is a great loss to the world of music. No one can ever fill the gap. He may not be physically amongst us anymore but he will certainly live forever in our hearts and minds through his ‘ghazals’ and ‘geets’. Allah may rest his soul in peace and give courage to the bereaved family and the nation to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.”
