Early completion of roads ordered

LAHORE
On visiting Shahrah-e-Aiwan-e-Tijarat and Allama Iqbal Road on Monday, Commissioner Jawad Rafique Malik and DCO Noor-ul-Amin Mengal took strict notice of slow pace of construction work there and told officers concerned to expedite it and use more labourers.
They directed NLC officers and EDO (Works & Services) to use all available resources for completion of Allama Iqbal Road as early as possible. They said this project should be completed before monsoon season. They said the road was under construction for long which was creating problems for people. They said quality of material should be ensured.
Earlier, the Commissioner and DCO inspected carpeting of Shahrah-e-Aiwan-e-Tijarat and directed officers concerned to complete work at the earliest. They expressed their satisfaction over the quality of construction material. CDGL officers were also accompanied them.
Meanwhile, DCO has taken serious notice of the presence of sacrificial goat and meat sale points in Lahore. He directed all TMOs and TO (Rs) to take action against the sale points and daily submit report about this. He said strict action against in whose area such sale points were noticed.
