Muqam visits bombed tomb of Ajmal Khattak
Our correspondent Sunday, May 13, 2012
NOWSHERA: Condemning the bombing of the tomb of noted Pashto poet Ajmal Khattak, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice-President Amir Muqam on Saturday blasted the Awami National Party-led provincial government for failing to protect the grave of the late nationalist leader.
Talking to reporters after offering fateha at the tomb of Ajmal Khattak, he said the ANP leaders had failed to protect even the sacred places. “Instead of making tall claims, the ANP leader should provide security to the people,” he added.
Aimal Khattak, son of late Ajmal Khattak, was also present on the occasion.
Amir Muqam extended sympathies and offered words of consolation to him.
The PML-N leader said his party leadership had launched movement against the government and would march on Islamabad if the convicted prime minister didn’t step down.
