Jamshoro power plant's 3 out of 4 units stand broken

JAMSHORO: Power supply to parts of Sindh has been struck by a setback, as three out of four units of Jamshoro Thermal Power Plant now stand dysfunctional, Geo News reported Sunday.

According to details, a boiler leakage led to the closure of Unit # 4 at the power plant, where two units (#2 and #3) were already sitting cold.

Moreover, Sunday’s was not a new shutdown for the Unit # 4 as it had broken down a day earlier as well.

It is pertinent to mention that technical faults had kept the same unit out of generation for at least a week’s time lately.
